🌷Welcome Flora Family!

Thank you so much for having the curiosity to follow along to Grow With Flora LLC’s company updates! We are eager to start this communication platform with interested parties and supporters. If you are here it means that you are invested in learning more about improving quality education for girls (and we thank you for that!).

But first, a quick jump back in time to April 2024: the month of Flora’s conception! Flora was sprung into life during a 90-minute hackathon at The University of St. Thomas, where founders Justina Palmer & Payton Maas were faced with the prompt of developing an idea to improve women’s lives. What better way to help girls than to make sure their confidence stays intact during the most foundational (and daunting) years of their lives! Thus, Flora was born.

Now for our Wins!

🥇Flora has just secured 1st place at the regional Fowler Global Social Challenge at The University of St. Thomas where we secured $6,000 in pre-seed funding! This was a HUGE WIN for our business validation and we are incredibly excited, and because of our top 2 finish— we will be competing at the Global Finals at the End of May for a potential $25,000!

🥳We will also be competing in the semi-finals for the Ignite Cup in Red Wing Minnesota on March 5th in hopes of advancing to their Finals at the end of March. This opens the opportunity to compete for $7,500 to put into our company. *Click to learn more about each competition!

📳We are also excited to have been selected to be a part of the Owatonna Business Development Center’s Software Studio which grants us access to 200-400 FREE hours of software development to get us started with Flora’s mobile app! Talk about a money-saver! Because of these opportunities, we are building an incredibly strong foundation to SPRING into bringing Flora to young girls across the United States.
